Winnifred Florence Rumble “Winnie” (nee Fernihough) passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 31st, 2019, at the age of 82, at Chatham-Kent Hospice, after a long fight with cancer. Winnie will be sadly missed by her children, Debbie Lauzon (Terry) of Wheatley, Denise Wozny (Bruce) of Ottawa, Daniel McTaggart (Tiffany) of Ottawa, Dawn Rumble of Chatham, her grandchildren Patrick (Tracy), Ben (Trina), Austin, Jesika, great- grandchildren Jonathan, Matthew, Emily, Stacy, Brooke, nephew Terry, and niece Tami. Predeceased by father E. Stanley Fernihough, mother Dora (nee Melynchuk), brother Gordon Fernihough (Joan, deceased). In following with her wishes, cremation has taken place. In lieu of a ceremony, we ask that those who knew and cared for Winnie take time to reflect on the impact she had on their lives. A private graveside service will be held at Maple Leaf Cemetery at a later date. The family would like to thank the Bayshore nurses and March of Dimes personal support workers for her care at home. We also thank the doctors, nurses, personal support workers and volunteers of the Chatham-Kent Hospice. Donations to the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation are appreciated.
