William Harry Brian Turnbull passed away peacefully on the morning of September 22 nd , 2021, shortly after his 84 th birthday. Brian will be remembered fondly by family and many friends from a happy well-rounded life.  Brian leaves behind his brother Keith and nephew Todd.  His lineage lives on through the children he had with Eleni: Johanna, Jessica, and Andrew, and his grand-children Ryzoh, Lukkas, Jazzmyn and Dahlia.  Jessica’s husband and step daughter, Chad and Sierra Clinansmith, also dearly looked up to Brian. Brian served The City of Waterloo, Ont. as Mayor for 9 years following several terms on city council. He was a respected leader who united communities and cities. Brian was a keen traveller and loved to spend his retirement winters in the temperate mountains of Cafayate, Argentina, where vineyards meet the Andes mountains. Heartfelt thanks are extended to the dedicated staff at Riverview Gardens.  Those wishing to make a memorial contribution are asked to consider the  Alzheimer Society.
