Obituary for William Howard
William “Bill” Howard – A resident of Chatham, William “Bill” Edward Howard, born January 28 th , 1939 passed away peacefully at Chatham Hospice on March 4th, 2020 at the age of 81. Born in Stockport, Cheshire, England. Bill was the son of the late William and Lucy Howard. Loving husband for 59 years of Hilda Barbara (Farrow). Loving father to Peter Howard (Angie) of London, ON and David (MaryLin) Howard of Shrewsbury, ON. Grandfather to Joshua (Tina) Howard, Bethany (Brian) Dueck and great grandfather to Abigail, Julian, Harrison and Sophia.
Predeceased by sisters Pauline (1943) and Christine (1949) and brother Brian (2018). Brother of Keith Howard (Julie) of England. Brother-in-Law of Bill Farrow and Melinda Howard. Sadly missed by nieces and nephews in Canada and England.
Bill was a proud member of Ironworkers Local 700 for over 45 years, including serving as Assistant Business Agent for 16 years. Bill was a dedicated Ironworker, took pride in his work and was very respected by fellow Ironworkers.
Visitations will take place from 11:00am to 1:00 pm on Friday, March 13 th at The Salvation Army Church, 46 Orangewood Blvd. Chatham with a Celebration of Life at 1:00pm. Burial to follow at Maple Leaf Cemetery.
