Obituary for Wilf Ellison

With heavy hearts and great sadness, we say goodbye, for now, to Wilfred Ross Ellison.   Wilf passed away on February 15, 2022 at the age of 73.   Wilf leaves behind his loving wife Sandy. He made a difference in the lives of his family and he will be missed by step-son Jamie, wife Lisa and grandsons Brayden and Matthew, step-son Ryan and partner Ray, step-daughter Erica and step-son Joel. He was very close to and was much loved by his sister-in-law Diane, her husband Hugh and their daughters Caitlyn, Kylie, Alanys and Cassidy. Wilf raised daughters Wendy and Denise and son Michael. Wilf worked at Navistar Canada for 31 years and leaves behind many lasting friendships. He was very close with Barry (Lyn), Kinnon (Sandra), Mike and Lucy, and Christina and Larry. After retirement, Wilf built an amazing shop where he perfected his wood working skills. Sandy and Wilf enjoyed many trips with friends and had special memories of Las Vegas. Wilf bravely battled Parkinson’s disease, with Sandy steadfastly by his side, for the last 18 years. We would like to acknowledge the terrific support he received from Doctor Zeke Milkovic and his team, Sheila from GMOT, T.J. and Jyoti (I’m ready Freddy!) who provided excellent support at home. We will be forever grateful for the outstanding care he received at the Chatham-Kent Health Alliance. The kindness and compassion from all health care professionals who helped Wilf and Sandy through his illness is so very appreciated. Please consider donations to Parkinsons Canada or to PAWR . Our lives are changed by the passing of such a wonderful husband, father and Papa. We will miss Wilf always.
