Obituary for Susan Solomon

Earned her heavenly wings May 3, 2021 after a brief illness at the Chatham Kent Health Alliance. Susan attributed the respect and kindness she had towards others and her love of nature and animals to life lessons learned from her parents, James and Kathleen (Handsor) Solomon. She appreciated being raised in a small community with her siblings Peggy Tomby (Albert), James Solomon, Patty Melo (Jorge), Paul Solomon, and Sherry Sims. She loved her 3 nephews and 4 nieces and many cousins. Susan enjoyed being a pet parent to Scott and Lucky. Susan’s career included many years of Medical Administration while residing in Toronto, Ontario. She enhanced her ability to help patients by learning a second language to be an interpreter when needed. She later earned another college diploma to enhance her computer skills. Susan enjoyed passing the time doing genealogy research and connecting with other like-minded researchers through various genealogical societies, including the Dresden Historical Society. Susan had a gentle, kind spirit and a heart for the less fortunate and therefore requested donations in her memory to Rock Missions in Chatham or to Diabetes Canada.
