Obituary for Steven Wrozek

Steven Wrozek, formerly of Chatham, passed in Chatham Kent Health Alliance Hospital on the 30th of May, 2017 with his family by his side. He is survived by his mother, Lorraine W. McDonald, John McDonald and 3 brothers, Scott Wrozek of Chatham, Patrick Wrozek (Brenda) of Chatham and Stewart McDonald (Sheri). He had one nephew, son of Patrick, Charlie P. Wrozek. Uncle Tim Wrozek and his children Alan and Katherine of Ohio, Uncle Roger Fawcett. Cousins Jerry (Mary) and Jim Kahue of Chatham and Michael Murphy, Dan and David Fawcett of Flat Rock MI. and Mary and Cathy Fawcett Poslaiko of Flat Rock MI., USA. Steven was born on Nov 1, 1964 in Jackson MI. to Gerald Wrozek and Lorraine Brown. He attended Vanier School and McGregor High School, where he was taken to the basketball team and enjoyed his time as he and Pat went together. Steven attended Loyalist College and studied Hotel Management and later he became a student at the culinary school in London and graduated. He began his travels, seeking positions on the net. He signed with a jobber and went with the Canadian troops in to Afghanistan, worked in a tent city, Camp Julian, established at a spot within site of one of the Hussain’s castles or mansions. He has worked in Lake Louise, Fairbanks Alaska, Foxboro, Huntsville and London Ontario. For the last 4 years Steven worked at Crowrock Lodge in Kenora, Ontario. He is predeceased by his father Gerald J., Uncle Dan, and Kenny, grandparents, Joseph and Helen Wrozek, Jackson, Henry and Helena O’Neill Brown, Patricia Fawcett “Aunt Pat” of Flat Rock MI. A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday June 3, 2017 at 10:00 am at St Ursula’s Church, Chatham. Memorial contributions may be directed to the Canadian Cancer Society in Steven’s memory.
