Shirley Elizabeth Tielemans (nee Stone) of Dresden passed away peacefully at Riverview Gardens on Sunday, April 23, 2023 at the age of 91. Predeceased by her parents Gladys (nee Lively) and George Stone, and her husband Leo Tielemans. Loving mother of Dan (Jeanette) Tielemans, Ron (Cheryl) Tielemans, Marjorie (Randy) Frankfurth, Leon (Tobie) Tielemans, and Dawn (Jesse) Belleau. Proud grandmother of Danette, Jason, Mike, Steve, Ashton, Kane, Logan, Jade, and Levi. Great grandmother of Kaitlin, Joshua, Kayden, Gavin, Emberley, and Titus. Shirley is also survived by great-great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and family. Shirley is survived by her sister Camilla George. Predeceased by siblings Delores, Vera, Laura, and Dennis. She was a dear friend to Barb and Bruce Carter, Roger and Shirley Carter, Marilyn and Jack Bristol, and Betty Skulish.
Shirley was a faithful Witness of Jehovah for many years. She loved Jehovah, spending time in her garden, flowers, birds (particularly hummingbirds), and butterflies. She loved playing cards, both Canasta and Wiezen. A special thank you to the staff at Riverview Gardens for their hard work, understanding, and care.
A memorial service will be planned and held Friday May 12, 2023 at 7:00pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 9375 River Line, Chatham, Ontario.
