Obituary for Shirley Hill

Shirley Ann Hill, 69, of Chatham, Ontario, passed away on May 12 th , 2019, with her family by her side.  She was born on December 26, 1949 in Chatham, to the late Joseph and Eliza Turner.  She is survived by her husband of 45 years, Stewart Hill; their children, Tyler and Ben (Nadine) Hill; and 2 beloved grandsons, Nolan and Alex.  She is also survived by her two sisters, Liesje McKenna and Lana Turner; and brother, Joseph (Kathy) Turner.  When faced with trying times due to declining health, she was always strengthened by her faith in Jehovah God and his promises.  She was especially comforted by her favourite scripture at Isaiah 41:10, 13, which reads, “Do not be afraid, for I am with you.  Do not be anxious, for I am your God.  I will fortify you, yes, I will help you, I will really hold on to you with my right hand of righteousness…For I, Jehovah your God, am grasping your right hand, the one saying to you, ‘Do not be afraid.  I will help you.’”. The family would like to give special thanks to the nurses and physicians at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance ICU for their compassionate care and support.    Family will receive friends at a memorial service being held at 2:00 PM Saturday, June 1, 2019 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses,  9375 River Line, Chatham, Ontario .  In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation or to support the worldwide work of Jehovah’s Witnesses at  https://apps.jw.org/ui/E/donate-home.html#/donate . “Love you to the moon and back”
