It is with sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of Shirley Elaine Burdon at the age of 88 on Tuesday, June 8th, 2021 in Chatham, Ontario. Shirley was predeceased by her husband, Ronald (1973). Born in Wheatley, Ontario to Mabel and Donald Coulter, Shirley graduated in 1954 as a Registered Nurse from the Chatham Public General Hospital and married Ronald in 1955. She will be missed by her son and daughter-in-law, Brad and Louise (Martin). Also survived by her grandson Matthew, sister Sharon Shepherd, niece Lori and predeceased by her brother Allan, daughter-in-law Lynda and brother-in-law Ken. In lieu of flowers, donations are welcome to the Alzheimer’s Association in Shirley’s name. Her family will hold a private graveside service at Maple Leaf Cemetery.
