Obituary for Ronald Stead

It is with deep sadness that the family of Ronald Allen Stead announces his passing on May 20th after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. Born on January 12th, 1958 to the late Ronald and Betty (nee Smith) Stead. He is survived by his beloved wife of 39 years, Nancy (nee Terry). Loving father of Rachel (Josh), Aaron (Camille) and April (Brandon) and proud grandfather to Isaac. Brother of Heather (Steve) and predeceased by brothers Jeff (2003) and David (2015). Brother-in-law to Debra, Sarah (Jeff), Fawn (Paul), Michael (Susan), David (Joan), Willow (John) and Hope (Dave). Survived by several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews, and cousins. Ron was a proud retiree of the Municipality of Chatham-Kent, having held numerous roles across the organization during his 36+ year tenure. An avid musician, Ron was an active member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 28 and served as Pipe Major from 2002-2006. Ron enjoyed traveling, camping and spending time with family and friends.
