Peel, Robert “Bob” Patrick Bob passed away at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance with family by his side on July 19, 2018 at the age of 78. Born in Chatham he was the Son of the late Douglas Snell Peel and Patricia Wilson. Loved by the late Judith Crawford of cedar springs, and step-father to Cathy and Michael Crawford. Loving father to Doug Peel of Cedar Springs and grandfather to Carrie-Lynn Peel of London. Brother of Kimberley Wilson, Ken Wilson and the late Kathleen Snelgrove and Jack Kiser. Bob was a skilled hunter, golfer and fisherman who lived for anything involving the outdoors. He operated Bob’s Guide Service, a charter boat on Lake St. Clair for a number of years. He trapped and guided for Big Point Club, Dover. Bob enjoyed teaching Fur Management at St. Clair College. He was elected the treasurer and past president of the Pointe Aux Pins Salmon and Trout Club, Lake Erie. Involved member of the Rondeau Rod and Gun Club, as well as the Dover Rod and Gun Club. Retired Engineer of Navistar, Chatham. Bartender at The CAW Hall, Chatham after retirement. He enjoyed golfing with dear friends for many years. When he wasn’t doing that he would make time to visit the Blenheim Legion to win the meat draw again and again. Bob always had time for people who were important to him. If you met him once you would never forget him. Always a smile, a good joke, and would there to lend a helping hand. He will be missed by many. As per his wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of life to be held at a later date. Donations in Bob’s memory could be made to P.A.W.R. Animal Rescue or Canadian Cancer Society.
