On December 1 4 , 2021, Richard B ria n Perrin made his journey to his heavenly home. Son of the late Inez and Dick Perrin. He leaves behind his wife and best friend of 52 years, Beverley Perrin (nee Knott), h is daughter H eather Sarson ( David ) and son Brent (Christine). He will also be missed by his grandchildren Carter, Spencer, Lieneke and Pierce. Also survived by his sister Carolyn Blackburn of Exeter, sister-in-law Pam Perrin of Wallaceburg, and brother-in-law David Knott (Lynne) of Chatham. Predeceased by his brother Jim Perrin, sister Marlene Sebo and brothers-in-law Joe Sebo and Dale Blackburn. He a lso leaves behind many nieces and nephews who will miss Uncle Dickie immensely. Richard was born in Tupperville and has lived in Chatham most of his life. He started out as a barber in downtown Chatham at Ozzie Sales Barber Shop. In 1970 Dick became the barber at the Cedar Springs Hospital. After being the barber for 16 years, he moved on to the shipping and receiving department of t he hospital for another 11 years. During that time he delivered 200 London Free Press papers each day for 15 years. Dick also drove for Chaps for over 10 years. Dick’s work ethic was second to none! He always gave 110% right up until his various surgeries. His love of sports is known throughout his family. The Tigers, Lions and Maple Leafs have been his teams since childhood. Dick loved gardening at h is and Bev’s home. He traveled to Bar Harbour, Maine for 24 years and it was his little slice of paradise. He is now in God’s paradise. In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to The Scott Mission , Covenant House Toronto , or the Chatham Kent Hospice . He was loved and pampered beyond measure by earthly angels at the hospice – we will forever be grateful to you. Visitation will be Friday, December 17 th from 7pm to 9pm and Saturday, December 18 th from 9am to 11am with a funeral service to follow at 11am. Visitation and service will be held at Evangel Community Church, 76 Sandys Street, Chatham. Please note current Covid Protocols will be in place.
