Obituary for Rebecca Martin

My journey is not yet over, it’s only just beginning.
Don’t look back in sadness, turn to look at the sun, and smile and remember I’ll always be with you. It is with great sadness that we announce the end of Rebecca Ann Martin’s (nee Peck) journey here on earth on March 31, 2022 . Rebecca fought a remarkable battle with cancer. She tackled this obstacle like many she has faced, with strength, determination, fearlessness, courage, and of course, style. She was a woman who always loved a great adventure. Rebecca was very fortunate in her life to experience such wonderful adventures, such as her travels to India, Spain, Israel, and many warmer climate islands with her wonderful friends and family. Rebecca started her life, born to Frank and Doreen Peck, in Chatham, Ontario on March 14th 1952. Loving sister to the late Robert Peck (1974), Christine Peck, and Timothy Peck (Sandra). She was blessed in her life with two beautiful daughters, Sarha Agosta (Mat t hew) and Cynthia Cornejo (Francisco). She was a loving grandmother to Corynn Masad (Salah), Kaleb Langlois, Brayd e n Langlois, Matilda Cornejo, and Eloise Cornejo. Rebecca was also a wonderful aunt to her nephews and niece, former wife of Patrick Martin for 45 years, and best friend to many. Rebecca’s determination and unwavering work ethic can be reflected upon in her many years of service at Siemens, where she was fortunate to be able to retire from. Following retirement Rebecca could be found either on the golfing greens with her many close friends or in her beautiful backyard gardens where she would take pride in tending to their flourish. Rebecca took great pride in everything she did. We hope that when you look back and remember Rebecca today, you remember the beautiful smile and loving heart she tried to share with all who met her. Until we meet again…… The family wishes to thank each and every staff member as well as Dr. Bailey, at Chatham-Kent Hospice for their exceptional care of Rebecca during her stay. They went above and beyond every single day to make sure not only Rebecca, but her whole family was taken care of, even after Rebecca had passed. In lieu of flowers, please consider making a donation in memory of Rebecca to the Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation. A Funeral Mass for Rebecca will take place on Thursday, April 7, 202 2 at 11:00am at St Joseph’s Paris h, 180 Wellington Street, Chatham. To Watch the Mass Live Streamed – Click here –
