Obituary for Raymond Plant

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Raymond Clifford Michael Plant “Uncle Ray” at his home on Sunday September 13, 2020. B orn on August 12, 1971 in Chatham. Son of Jo-Anne Watson ( Carl) of Charring Cross
Father of Stephanie La Fleur, C.J Plant (Ashley) of Chatham, Jesse Boulard of Sudbury. Grandfather of Maverick and Audrey of Sudbury. Brother to Alecia Brown (Melvin) Nephew of David and Elaine Hockridge of Sarnia.
Uncle to Jessica Fields and her children Ryland and Londynn, Cody Fleury (Emily) and their children Alice and Rosie, Jeff Deechan, Victoria Plant (Justin) all of Chatham.
Specially loved by lifelong friends the Olsen Family. Forever remembered and respected by the many now grown children he mentored over the years that were not his own.
Affectionately known as “Uncle Ray” by many, known for his hard work ethic, generous spirit and love of cooking. Admired for the large smoked meals he would prepare often hosting neighborhood cookouts. When not at the grill, he could be found in his happy place on the water fishing. An avid fisherman who often out-fished most that went with him. Special thank-you to his nephew Jeff who was always by his side to help wherever needed.
In keeping with his wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no funeral or showing. A Celebration of Life to come at a later date.
Donations can be made to Shannon Ladd’s Dream Team, a foundation that helped make his dream come true when he became sick, and they continue to help cancer patients in any way that they can. Their page can be found on Facebook.
