Obituary for Paul Paxton

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Paul Stephen Paxton "ITCH" on September 28, 2022 peacefully at Victoria Hospital in London at the age of 63. He was born to the late William and Donna Paxton (Holmes) in Chatham.

Steve is survived by his loving partner, Kim Taczynski of London; two children Amanda Paxton of British Columbia and Amy Waddick-Caza of Chatham. He is survived by sisters Bev Beasejour, Carol Heuvelmans (Leo), Lynn Paxton-Batten (Ron), and brothers Ron (Tammie) and Rick (Joy). He was preceded in death by his brothers Robert and Brian and sister Judy Read. Steve will be missed by nieces, nephews, cousins and many good friends.

He was a dedicated worker for many years in the manufacturing industry (Eaton Yale, Oxford Automotive). After moving to London, he worked in Maintenance and Landscaping for many years at the apartment building where he lived. Subsequently, he decided to run his own Yard Care Business and was respected and appreciated for his dedication to his work.

He was a practical joker with a generous heart of gold, never hesitating to help people out. He was a big kid at heart and was loved by many friends and family. He was a great Detroit Red Wings fan and often reminded everyone that the Detroit Red Wings were #1. He had a strong faith and supported many local churches in both the Chatham and London area. However, his strongest love was for his dogs (Tucker, Bruno and Stevie) and they all worshiped the ground he walked on. Steve was larger than life to many, his shoes cannot be filled. May he rest in peace.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt appreciation to doctors, nurses and all those who took a part in his care and/or support over the years.

Friends and family wishing to remember Steve are encouraged to donate to the Robarts School for the Deaf, London Ontario or Chatham-Kent Animal Shelter or charity of your choice.

We would like to invite anyone who knew and loved Steve to a Celebration of His Life on Sunday, October 23, 2022 from 2pm-4pm at Hidden Hills Golf and Country Club, 25393 St Clair Road, Dover Centre.

And as Steve always said….The Party Must Go On!
