Obituary for Patricia Nott
Patricia June Nott, (formerly McFadden; Chesney) passed away, peacefully, surrounded by her family, on May 15, 2019, at Riverview Gardens, Chatham. She is the daughter of the late Leonard and Mary McFadden. Wife of the late Peter Nott. Mother of Andrea Ellison (Bruce), Shawn Chesney (Marcy), and Michael Chesney (Komang).
She is the grandmother of five beautiful grandchildren. Erin (John), Shawn (Soran), Jaylene (Josh), Wolfe and Uniqua and great grandmother to Jacob.
She is a sister to Gary (Mary), Dixie (Jim), Aaron (Darlene), Lonnie (Mary) and Pam (Jack). Patricia is predeceased by siblings Donna, Penny, Dennis and Dale.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by many nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.
Her passions throughout her life were gardening, crossword puzzles, cooking and travelling the world.
She loved to entertain, watch Anderson Cooper, The Young and the Restless. She was an avid supporter of The Shopping Channel!
The family would like to say a special thank you to the caring staff at Riverview Gardens, 2E, for looking after Mom when we could not and making her last moments comfortable and dignified and for seeing to the needs of our family even when we didn’t realise what we needed. Also, the staff in Acute Care, ER, CKHA for your professional and compassionate care of our mother and her family.
Mom loved cats and dogs. If desired, donations can be made to the local Humane Society in her memory.
A celebration of life will be held June 29, 2019 from noon to 3 p.m. at Rossini’s Restaurant.
