Myrna Lynn (Stewardson) Capiau, a resident of Dover Centre passed away peacefully at Chatham-Kent Hospice on Tuesday July 31, 2018 at the age of 67. Born January 22, 1951 in Chatham, daughter of the late Herbert and Lois (Clark) Stewardson and daughter in law of the late Ivan and Mary (Vynckier) Capiau. Survived by her husband Wayne, son Brett and his wife Erica and daughter Ashlie. Dear sister to the late Mary Leona and her husband James Sayers; Clark and his wife Nancy Stewardson; sister in law to Lorrie Ann and her husband Leo Brown. She is survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews and great nieces and great nephews. Myrna worked for the Chatham Police Department for 9 years and Union Gas for 20 years. Myrna had a passion for volunteering in the community Heart and Stroke, Cancer Society, Food Bank, Church luncheons. Cremation has taken place. The Capiau family would like to extend their sincere thanks to family and friends, Chatham-Kent Hospice staff and volunteers, Dr Burgess, Diane Maguire, and the Windsor Cancer Clinic. Friends and family will be received at St Paul’s Congregational Church 450 Park Ave W Chatham on Saturday August 11, 2018. Visitation from 12pm to 2pm and the funeral following at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Chatham-Kent Hospice.
