With sad hearts the family of Michael, born January 11,1953, announce his passing on Tuesday, September 6, 2022 at the age of 69. He was the son of Albert Castein and the late Mary Castein (2009). Survived by his cherished wife of 48 years Donna (nee Mackenzie).

He will be greatly missed by his children Tim Mackenzie (Kathy), Michael Castein (Julie), Gennyne Austin (Mick), Craig Castein, Colin Castein (Jenn), and Brett Castein (Amanda). Loving grandad of 19 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren. Remembered by siblings Julie Sharp (Brian), Sue Crow, Robert Castein (Paul), and Ruth Simmons (Dave).

Also survived by mother-in-law Helen Mackenzie, predeceased by father-in-law Donald (2000). Sisters-in-law Sandra Mackenzie (Rick), Carolynn Dickinson (Bob), Jennifer Arthurs (Brian), and brother-in-law Don (Wendy). Plus many nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, donations are appreciated and may be directed to the Chatham Kent Hospice in memory of Michael.
