Mary Ellen Zimmer (nee Howard), of Chatham, passed away on October 11, 2022 at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance. Born in Chatham 71 years ago, daughter of the late Jim and Jean Howard. Loving wife of Michael H. Zimmer. Mary is survived by her sisters Jane Remington (Gary), Betty Johnston, and Barb Howard (Greg), brother Rob Howard, sisters-in-law Janet Caldwell (Dave), Nancy Hebert (Bill Knapp), Pauline Zimmer, Jean Zimmer, and brother- in-law Bob Zimmer. She is predeceased by sister Carol Goddard (Jack), and brother Tom Howard (Judy). Mary will also be missed by many nieces and nephews and friends. She was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 642. Mary’s family will be remembering her privately.
