Martina Klara DeKievit, passed peacefully at her home while surrounded by family on Saturday April 20, 2019. Daughter of the late Ludwig and Anna Matt. Wife of John for 60 years. Mother of Patricia Sylvain (Maurice) of Dover Centre, Irene Deschenes of Strathroy, Yvonne Jack (Mark) of Blenheim, Ingrid Hakker (Rob) of Chatham and Jennifer DeKievit of Chatham. Oma of Daniel Sylvain, Thomas Sylvain, Denise Deshenes-McKay, Marc Deschenes, Kara Griffiths, Angela Stubitz, Heather Jack, Mitchell Hakker, Owen Hakker and Brianna DeKievit. Sister of Gabriele Hornberger and the late Klaus Matt. Oma Oma of 6 with one on the way. Predeceased by grandson Nolan. Tina was most proud of her family. She enjoyed playing cards, knitting, reading, gardening, being outside and spending winter holidays in Daytona and Myrtle Beach with the sun and the ocean. Mom loved sports, game shows on TV, Columbo was a favourite. She was a very caring, loving mother who loved to spend time with family and friends.
