ROES, Maria (Deryck) (nee Hereygers) went to be with her Lord and Saviour, peacefully with her family by her side at Copper Terrace Nursing Home, Tuesday, September 25, 2018 at the age of 87. Born in the Netherlands, Maria was the daughter of the late John and Anna (Mathysen) Hereygers. Beloved wife of the late Clayton Roes (2014). Loving mother of Harry Deryck (2018) (Sharron), John Deryck (Tina), Fred Deryck (Deb), Patricia Maddocks (Dave), Mary Jane Camara (Louis 2016), Bob Deryck (2017), and infant son Peter Deryck (1963). Stepmother of Brian Roes (Sally) and Bruce Roes. Dear sister of Jean Brunschot (Fred) and Alphonse Hereygers (Joyce 2016). Predeceased by brothers Case Hereygers, Dennis Hereygers, Charlie Hereygers and sister Anne Schopf. Survived by sister in laws Louise Hereygers and Lisa Hunter, and brother in law Mike Schopf. She will be lovingly remembered by many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Cremation has taken place. The family will receive relatives and friends at St. Paul’s Congregational Church, 450 Park Ave. W, Chatham on Monday, October 1, 10:00am -11:30am followed by a Memorial Service at 11:30am. Lunch and fellowship will follow. A private family interment at Poole Mennonite Cemetery will take place at a later date. Donations may be made to the Parkinson’s Society Southwestern Ontario.
