With broken hearts we announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother and grandmother Margareth (Martje) Shirley Postma (nee Dekens) on June 21, 2020 surrounded by her family. Margareth was born in Guelph 66 years ago on September 26, 1953 daughter of the late Harm and Antje (Hazenberg) Dekens. Beloved wife of Ted Postma, married for 47 wonderful years. Loving mother of Derek and Amy Postma, Anne and Don Taylor and Cortney and Andrew Maynard. Devoted grandmother of Olivia, Natalie, Ryan and Nathan Taylor, and Alexandra and Jordyn Postma. Sister of Lena and Peter VanDyke, Faye and Dave VanKesteren, Clarence and Ingrid Dekens and Leroy and Patricia Dekens. Sister in law of Peter and Helen Postma, Gary and Gayla Postma, Will and Rebecca Postma and Anita and Todd Kleinwolterink. Mom fiercely loved her family and loved being with them whether it be cheering her grandkids on at sporting events, enjoying hikes or going for weekend road trips. As long as mom was with her family she was in her happy place. Mom will be missed by many and loved by all. The family would like to sincerely thank the staff at Chatham Kent Hospice for their exceptionally caring attention during this time.
