With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Magdolna Csanits at her home on Thursday December 12, 2019. Maggie was born to Ferenc and Erzsebet Balogh 91 years ago in Hungary. She was the loving mother of Judy Beatty (Greg) and Carl Csanits (Barbara). She adored her three grandchildren, Ashlyn, Jacob and Megan. Maggie will forever be in the hearts of her relatives in Hungary, as well as her dear friend, Anna Zoltowski of Chatham. Maggie loved her family deeply and was always proud to celebrate their achievements. Her amazingly positive outlook on life and her caring and selfless nature always shone through in all that she said and did. Her faith in God was the foundation of her life. Although she was very grateful for being welcomed into Canada in 1956, she was also extremely proud of her Hungarian heritage. She will always be remembered for her infectious smile and her love for everyone she met. The family would like to thank the wonderful and compassionate care given to Maggie by Dr. Denys, the VON palliative team, especially, Mary Beth Cadotte, and the caregivers from Bayshore. A private celebration of Maggie’s life will be held in the spring, Maggie’s favourite season. If so desired, donations can be made to VON Palliative Care in Maggie’s memory.
