Obituary for LuAnn Yorke

LuAnn Lynn Yorke, 54, Passed away suddenly on December 16, 2021. Born to the late Lionel Yorke and Linda Yorke (Sterling) on November 30, 1967. Step daughter to the late Ken Ripley and sister to Tera Ripley. LuAnn grew up in Chatham, Ontario and attended Chatham Kent Secondary School, where she met many life long friends. LuAnn received her paralegal certificate from Westervelt College and worked for the City of Chatham for many years in her field. Anyone that knew LuAnn would tell you that she had an infectious personality. She could light up a room with her smile and laughter. She was so fun to be around and people really loved her. LuAnn was an incredible writer! If you ever got to read one of her poems, you knew she had poured her heart into it, and her heart was so big. She made some mistakes, as we all do, but her genuine heart of gold would be there to do anything for you. She always spoke so highly of her boys, such a proud mother. Her love for her children Leevi Yorke (Annie), Kodie Walker, and Dylan Rickman-Yorke was second to none. She adored her grandchildren and loved putting smiles on their faces: Noah Yorke, Jesse Yorke, Sadie Yorke, Darius Harper and Kyleigh Walker. LuAnn’s heart was always in the right place and though she struggled immensely at times she never gave up, never stop caring, never stopped trying. LuAnn will leave an immeasurable void among us and will be dearly missed by her mother, Linda Stirling , her sister, and her Aunts, uncles, children, grandchildren, and many friends and relatives.
She will be cremated and a celebration of her life will follow at a later date.
