Obituary for Linda Street

Did you ever know that you’re my hero
And everything I would like to be?
I can fly higher than an eagle
For you are the wind beneath my wings Linda Street, a lifelong resident of CK passed away on Sunday, December 12, 2021 in her 78th year at Chatham-Kent Health Alliance. Daughter of the late Joseph St. John and Lulu Suitor (Percy). Beloved mother of Shelley Bakker (Walter). Grandmother of Trevor Crundwell (Ashley), Chantal Crundwell, Jordan Bakker, and Chantal Bakker (Matt). Dear sister of Greg St John (Patty), Joanne Nevin, Sandra Rooke, and the late Brenda St John (2018). Linda is also survived by many nieces and nephews and her dog Ginger. She worked at the Bank of Montreal as an account manager on King St for 37 years. After retirement Linda enjoyed bingo, going to yard sales and doing crosswords. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren, tending her beautiful gardens, going to auctions, day trips and shopping. Linda also opened her backyard to the neighbourhood squirrels and stray cats feeding them and enjoying their company. Linda’s family will have a private service for her at a later date. Memorial donations in Linda’s memory can be directed to PAWRS (Pet and Wildlife Rescue).
