We are heartbroken to announce the passing of Liliana Dovancescu on Saturday December 21, 2019. She died peacefully in her home in her adopted city of Chatham. Born in Romania 83 years ago to the late Petre and Eugenia. Liliana has been the loving spouse of the late Sabin, mother of Titus, mother in law of Monica and proud grandmother of Alin and Silviu. Survived by in-laws Eugenia and Vasile as well as sisters in law in Germany Lidia and Domnita. Liliana trained at teachers College in Romania. She enjoyed reading, opera and poetry but her true loves and most cherished moments were the birth of her son, having a wonderful life with family, seeing her grandchildren grow up and treasuring the memory of her departed husband. Liliana will forever be remembered by special families and friends in Canada and Romania. We are grateful to family and great friends that surrounded her with good energy and thoughts that shared warm feelings and joy bringing the lovely smile of our mother we suddenly lost.
