Leonard “Len” Vermey was born in the Netherlands in 1931, immigrated to Canada in 1953 with the love of his life Mary, passed away Saturday May 5, 2018 at his home holding her hand and surrounded by his loving family. During their 65 years of marriage they raised and loved 9 children, enjoyed every moment they spent with their 13 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He will be watching with that sparkle in his eye when the 9th great grandchild is born. He taught all of us to work hard and play hard. A kind, sweet, patient, gentle man who kept his sense of humour to the end. A part of him will remain in each of us. A celebration of life will follow at a later date.
