Ken Davis died on December 23, 2019 surrounded by loved ones at home in Chatham, ON ending his struggle with Alzheimer’s. His love for his family was genuine, as he knew and recognized all of us and kept up his whit to the end. Loving husband of 61 years Joan (nee Winwood). Father to John (Cheryl) Davis of Holland Centre, Shelley (Jeff) Higginson of Meaford, Janet (John) Belbeck of Newmarket, Marcia (Marc) Soto of Chatham, and Tessa (John) Bittorf of Owen Sound. Dear grandpa to Jennifer (Dan), Michelle (Jon), Bryanna (Brayden), Noelle, Michael (Jessica), Caleb, David (Brittany), Ethan (Julie), Jalen (Vanessa), Bronwen, Maitea, Rylin, Julia, Steven (Courtney) and Allan. Great-grandpa to 5 great-grandchildren. Brother to Muriel (Campagnaro), Jack, and Glenn. Brother-in-Law to Theresa and Gwen Davis, Colleen (Estereicher), and Peggy (Adam). Pre-deceased by parents Clair and Marjorie Davis and brothers Fred, Keith, Ray and loving daughter-in-law Sandra Davis. Ken had a love and ability to fix and create anything out of wood. He worked for Graham Construction and taught carpentry at Georgian College for over 25 years. His greatest passion outside of his family was to see lives changed the way his was, so in 1968 Ken and Joan stepped out in faith, starting a Christian camp ministry, formerly known as Camp Ambassador and now Word of Life. The legacy of his kindness, compassion, generosity and solid one liners will live on in the hearts and lives of everyone he interacted with as well as those he never had a chance to meet. He is now Alzheimer’s free, living in eternity with his Saviour Jesus Christ. We’d like to thank Dr. Jason Denys and the Chatham Alzheimer’s Day Away Program for their support and care for Dad. Please join the family on Saturday, December 28th at the Alliance Church in Owen Sound for the visitation at 9:30 am and the Celebration of Life at 11 am. In lieu of flowers please consider donations to The Alzheimer Society of Chatham-Kent. Online condolences are welcome at www.lifetrans itions.ca
