John Roemer, May 28, 1927 – December 18, 2019 In the early morning hours of Dec 18/19 our dear father and Opa went to be with his Lord and Saviour. He is now reunited with our mom who passed away in January of this year. He missed her so much and looked for her every day. Many thanks to the wonderful and caring staff of 2 W at Riverview Gardens. You went out of your way to keep our dad comfortable in his last few days. He leaves behind two daughters, Jackie Lachine (Bob) and Julie Vanderkooy (John) and one son Hap Roemer (Brenda). He was a proud and loving Opa to 16 grandchildren and 24 great grandchildren. He is also survived by his only sister Loeky Luyt (Peter) and sister-in-law Peggy Luyt. Predeceased by his daughter Joyce and brother Peter and sister-in-law Alberta who also passed away this past year. Visitation will be on Saturday Dec 21, from 9:00am to 10:30am at First Christian Reformed Church (Fellowship Hall) with the service at 11:00am. Pastor Nate will be officiating. Burial to follow at Maple Leaf Cemetery in Chatham. Everyone is welcome to come back to the church for a light luncheon.
