Jeanette Mary Benoit (Charron) May 9, 1934 – March16, 2021 Daughter of Florida and Clement Charron “Jean” was the loving wife of the late Lionel Benoit (2004).   They were the focal point of Grande Pointe, having owned the Texaco Station there for many years and being friends with everyone in the village and those just passing through!   After retirement and moving to Chatham, they enjoyed so much family and friend time!   Watching the grandkids grow, enjoying time, and sitting on the front porch in their Cracker Barrel rockers. She will be lovingly remembered by their 3 children, daughter, Ruby Guerin (Jim), daughter, Lucy Pollard (Jim) and son, Mike (Kim), 7 grandchildren, Michelle (Doug), Nicole, Danielle, Becky (Lucas), Loralie, Cameron (Brandie), Cassandra (Brandon), 4 great grandchildren Brock Guerin, Danika Benoit, Gavin Benoit and Leighton Cowell. Jean and Lionel enjoyed life.   They had so many amazing friends, laughs, vacations and memories.   They lived life to the fullest.   They were an example of what life should be.   Enjoy every day, every moment, and every minute! Today we celebrate her as an amazing Mom, Mémère and Grande Mémère.   Life with her was wonderful; life without her will be so hard.   Hearing her say “Misère and Prendre Les Enfants” (translation, “take the kids” as she didn’t like her picture being taken, haha) was her usual comment. We are so very thankful for the trips taken, the meals and coffees shared, the grocery shops and the memories made. Those moments will forever remain in our hearts.   Some of the fun times were making sure she found the perfect purse!   She was always looking her finest, perfectly matched and ready to go!   Mom is now at peace and resting with her best friend once again. We want to believe that they are now dancing away to “The Crystal Chandelier”.   We didn’t want you to leave, but your suffering is now over and we can thank God for keeping you in his care. At her request, there will be no formal funeral arrangements.   Cremation is to follow and, at a future date, a private immediate family interment to St. Philippe’s Cemetery, Grande Pointe will take place.
