With heavy hearts we are sad to announce that Jan Gillanders passed away peacefully in her home in Chatham on August 2, 2022. Daughter of the late Edsel and Ruth Gillanders (nee McKenzie). Sister of Linda Trinacty and her husband Ed. Jan will also be missed by her nephews Alan Trinacty and his partner Matt Boisvert, and Paul Trinacty and his wife Loubna Amarir, and her great-niece Alba and great-nephew Mehdi. Jan attended high school at CCI in Chatham and then Capilano University in Vancouver, British Columbia. Her passions included photography and music while she also enjoyed biking, golf, pickle ball, tennis, reading, and puzzles in her quiet time. Jan greatly valued her friendships and had many life long friends. A family graveside gathering will take place at a later date. Those wishing to make a memorial donation in Jan’s name are asked to please consider the Chatham-Kent Library or the charity of their choice.
