Obituary for Howard Easter
Howard "Howie" Easter peacefully on May 7, 2023 at the age of 93 years. Pre-deceased by his loving wife of 66 years, Helen (Williams) Easter (2020). Howie is survived by his three sons, Brad (Mary), Douglas (Heidi), David (Janet). Howie dearly loved his 8 grandchildren - Brent & Scott, Amber, Patrick & Walter, Jill, Derek & Jenna and 12 great grand-children. Special thanks and acknowledgment to Carole Easter for her care and assistance to Howie and Helen over the years. Howie was pre-deceased by his parents, Herb and Lillian Easter, and his siblings Herb, Bob, Bill, Ted, & Ken and his only sister, Shirley (Easter) Rowden.
Howie worked as a bookkeeper and started Dominion Income Tax which evolved into Easter & Associates. Some might remember “Howie’s Weenie Wagon” which served the best hotdogs & french fries at Tecumseh Park in the 50’s & 60’s. Howie and Helen ran “Easter’s Bayview Market” in the late 1960’s. Throughout the years, Howie enjoyed golfing, curling, boating and woodworking and spending time at Rondeau with those he cherished. He was blessed with a fabulous sense of humour and was always the life of the party wherever he went.
No words could ever be adequate enough to express our deep gratitude to the staff at Meadowpark for their wonderful care and compassion during Howie’s time with them.
