We are sad to announce the passing of Grace Joann Holsappel on Tuesday, October 25th, 2022 at the age of 64 after suffering with cancer for several months. Grace was much loved by all of her family. She was born in Chatham to the late William and Saakje (nee Rosier) Holsappel and will be missed by her brother John (Joanne) and her sister Jeanny Thalen (the late Herb, 2020). Grace was a wonderful aunt to William (Christina), Marlaine (Chris), Richard (Rachelle), Stephen (Kathryn), Krystal (Josh), Justin (Nicole), Nathan (Kristina) and Tanya. Her 24 great nieces and nephews will mourn Grace’s absence at family gatherings. Grace was a dedicated member of the Eben-Ezer Canadian Reformed Church and proudly worked for the Government of Canada in the ODSP department for over 20 years. She enjoyed spending time with her family, working on crafts or perusing craft shows to look at the pottery and other creations. Friends and family are invited to a time of visitation at Eben-Ezer Canadian Reformed Church (483 McNaughton Ave East, Chatham) on Saturday, October 29th from 6pm to 8pm. A memorial service will be held at Eben-Ezer on Monday, October 31st at 1pm, with refreshments to follow.
