Gene Allan Gray, after a courageous battle with cancer, passed away peacefully while surrounded by his family on Wednesday August 25, 2021. Born in Chatham 65 years ago. Son of Fern Gray (nee Peltier) and the late Carl Gray. Beloved husband of Susan Gray (nee Bellinger) for 46 years. Father of Chris Gray (Natalie) and Shaun Gray (Lacey). Adoring grandfather of Anthonie, Brandon, Jorgia, Ginny and Jayden. Brother of Wayne Gray (Wendy), Cheryl Arnold (Bruce) and David Gray (Joanne). Survived by sister in law Marlene Goudreau. Predeceased by brothers Blake Gray, Brad Gray and Kevin Gray. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Gene will always be remembered as a lover of the outdoors, camping and fishing and also a man who loved to cook for his family. He will be deeply missed by all that knew him. All are welcome to attend a graveside service Tuesday August 31, 2021 at 1:30 pm at Maple Leaf Cemetery.
