With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Gary Hugh Cumming, on Sunday January 17, 2021 at Chatham Kent Health Alliance, at 70 years of age. Son of the late Hugh Grant Cumming (2005) and Bernice Cumming (2003). Loving husband of Linda. Loving brother of Gayle Cumming (Wayne Crisp). Proud uncle of Michelle Blackburn (Dave Boldt and Evan) and Dawn Blackburn (Elgie LaButte) and her children Devon Blackburn-Brown and Katelyn Brown, with extended family Michael and Emily LaButte. Gary enjoyed retirement after 37 years as a Chatham Meter Reader. He was very proud of his contributions as a Counsellor and Reeve of Dover Township. Gary loved to travel the world, and especially enjoyed time in Mexico. Spending days golfing and gardening were often in Gary’s schedule. He will be forever remembered by many as a kind, friendly, and happy go lucky kind of guy. Gary will be missed by all who knew him.
