Obituary for Floyd "Opie" Lozon

With heavy hearts we announce the peaceful passing of Floyd John Lozon “Opie” on Wednesday, January 16, 2019 in his home while surrounded by family.  Son of the late Floyd (2008) and Patricia (Schmidt) Lozon. Husband of Dori.  Dear father of Ty “Floyd III”, Taylor (Tara), Jesse (Llarissa) Lozon, and fur-baby Pedro. Proud grandfather to Laila, Kalli , and Cayman.  Uncle to Corey(Kim) Knight and great uncle to Hudson Knight.  Opie is survived by sisters Denise (Gord) Campbell, Dawn Anne (Douglas) Caughey. Opie will be missed by Aunts, Uncles, Cousins near and far, and many many friends.  Opie was the founder of Opus Restaurant where he loved working as a Chef.  Opie is a devoted Lions fan.  He also enjoyed boxing, golf, Friday afternoon pool and in the good weather Opie was sure to be on his Harley Davidson taking rides to Port Dover, Sturgis and places beyond. All are welcome to attend a celebration of Opie’s life on Super Bowl Sunday February 3, 2019 at Champz Sportz Bar and Grille (304 St. Clair St. Chatham) from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m.  Cremation has taken place and A private family interment will take place at a later date. In lieu of flowers Memorial donations can be made to Chatham-Kent Hospice, or a Charity of your Choice and would be greatly appreciated by the family.
