Elaine Ethel Watson, born February 5th 1941, passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by the people she loved the most – her family. She is survived by her loving husband of 59 years Jim Watson, her daughter Karen Kennedy (Dan), and her two granddaughters: Emily (Ryan) and Hannah (Jay). Elaine was born in Chatham to parents Ethel and George MacDonald (deceased), sister to Rod (Marina), Donna (deceased) (Dick), and John. She met her husband at the young age of six, married him fourteen years later and three short years later created her favourite person in the world – her daughter. She had a successful life as a hair dresser, then later switched careers to full time Grandma. From that moment on, she did not miss a school event, dance recital, hockey or soccer game for her granddaughters. For fifteen years, she baked homemade cookies for the CKHA Oncology Unit. Her heart was gold and wherever she went, she went smiling and laughing. Cremation has taken place with a Celebration of Life at a later date. Donations can be made in her memory to the Humane Society.
