He is also survived by his brother David. Ed is predeceased by his parents Elsie and Robert and siblings Donald, Elsie, Dilys, Gwyn, Alvin, Elaine.
Ed was born into a large family on June 01, 1933 in Windsor, Ontario. During his younger years, Ed served with the Royal Canadian Navy during the Korean War travelling around the world on many different ships. He settled in Chatham, married Alvina, and started a family. He later retired from Siemens. Ed enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing golf and gardening. Ed was a great and interesting storyteller to his family, friends and neighbours. He was an active member of the Royal Canadian Navy Association and the HMCS Huron Association.
