VANDERENDE, Edith  (nee Groenewegen) Born January 5, 1926 in the Netherlands; passed from this life to be with her Lord and Saviour on Saturday, August 4, 2018 in Chatham, Ontario.   Daughter of the late Teunis and Jacoba (nee Kleywegt) Groenewegen. Youngest sister to 13 siblings and their spouses (all predeceased). Wife of 62 years to the late John VanderEnde (2013). Dear sister in law to four siblings and their spouses in the Netherlands: Jo (Adriann) BoersWil, (Wim) vanOosten, Ari (Leny) van der Ende, Mario (Riet) van der Ende Cherished mother of seven children and their spouses: Sam (Kathy Marshall), Joyce vanderBaan (Stu 2011), Annie VanAlten, Harold (Marg), Laurence (Julie), Laird (Pat), Deb Grootenboer (Roger) Loving Grandmother of 34 Grandchildren and spouses (two predeceased). Loving Great-Grandmother of 15 Great-Grandchildren (one predeceased).   Edith first and foremost loved her Lord and continually lived in His Grace, wanting everyone around her to have that gift too.  Her smile lit up especially when any family member came to visit. She loved to be surrounded by family and prayed daily for each of them.  She remains a strong advocate for Billy Graham’s ministry and was greatly encouraged by the Decision magazine.  Loved fresh air, sunshine, plants, and flowers whenever she could enjoy them.   Friends and family will be received on Friday, August 10, at Grace Christian Reformed Church, (255 Tweedsmuir Ave. West, Chatham) 1:00 – 3:00 p.m.  Visitation Interment to follow at Maple Leaf Cemetery, Chatham. 4:00 p.m.  Celebration of Life Service Refreshment social to follow Celebration of Life Service   This Celebration of Life Service will be live-streamed at www.chathamgrace/media/live-stream Please log on five minutes before the start of the service.  The video recording of the service will be accessible on the website for three months.   In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Billy Graham Evangelistic Association of Canada.
