Phillips, Douglas Allen (Douger) (56)
With saddened hearts the family of Douger had to say their goodbye to their super hero on May 13, 2018. Beloved husband of Carrie (Buesnel) for 27 years. Cherished son of Marjorie and the late Allen (1982) Phillips. Fun loving brother of Linda Phillips. Doug was a mentor and father figure to his nephews Tyler and Nathan Phillips. “Brother” of Greg and Kim Oliphant. Loved and missed by the whole Buesnel family. Doug was a part of the Maple City Bakery family serving the last 38 years as Baker/Bread Production Manager. Member of the Branch 642 Canadian Legion. At Doug’s request there will be no service. Buesnel siblings and families; Linda Logan, Barb and Clark Mc Alpine, Sheila and Jack Beintema, Shirley and Jim Tope, Nancy Packham, Fred and Lisa Buesnel and all of our wonderful nieces and nephews and their families who have all shared 34 years of love for him. Born November 6, 1961. Died May 13, 2018. My superhero always staying positive. He could always give us a smile. He gave all of us new strengths knowing he didn’t complain. He said what do you do!! He fought with superhero, tough cookie strengths. We needed a smaller circle to comfort and care for Douger’s wishes, which were simple and explicit. He didn’t want a funeral. He didn’t want anyone to see him in a sad compassionate way. In knowing my husband you would love him and be saddened. Please remember your stories and at a later date you will be able to celebrate the true blessing he was. Loving and remembering stories. Sadly we will miss him. Carrie
