With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Douglas Hosfeld on Tuesday September 29, 2020 at Chatham Kent Health Alliance. Son of both the late Margaret (nee VanDette) and Richard Douglas Hosfeld. Loving husband of Mary for over 61 years. Father of Doug (Donna), Kathy Moore (Tom), Daniel (Sarita), Richard Hosfeld, Michael (Tricia) and Karen Cicerone (Tony). Grandfather of 22 and great grandfather of 10. Doug is the big brother of 3 loving sisters and 2 brothers; Kay Boyd (the late Delmar), Helen Morin (Jim), Robert (Shirley), the late Dot Einoff (Mike) and the late Roy Hosfeld. The famous “Uncle Doug” to many nieces and nephews. Also survived by many brothers and sisters in law. Doug retired from Siemen’s after many years of service. He was an avid Bridge player, always enjoyed his annual Tigers games with “The Boys”. Doug loved country music, the outdoors and all kinds of DIY projects -But, his overriding passion was always his family. Next to Mary, his love and pride was for his children and their spouses, his loving grandchildren and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews, whom he loved unconditionally. They are his pride and joy – his LEGACY. He always cherished the love and devotion they all gave in return. He will live in our hearts forever. His family will continue to remember him privately.
