Obituary for Donna Moninger

On Saturday, March 2, 2019, Donna Moninger passed away peacefully at CK Hospice with her family at her bedside at the age of 68. Donna was the daughter of the late Evelyn King, and the late Robert Webber (Kay Webber). She was the much loved wife of Harold Moninger, and the two would have celebrated 40 years of marriage later this year. Donna was the cherished mother and mother in law to Jason & Stacey Moninger of North Buxton, and Stuart & Kristine Moninger of Wallaceburg. Donna’s pride and joy were her 6 grandchildren, Matthew, Taylor, Meagan, Avery, Alaina and Lucas. Donna will be remembered by her sister, Wendy Webber of British Columbia, and was predeceased by her brother, Doug Webber. Donna will be greatly missed by her dear friends Faye Richmond, Grace Holland and Dennis & Carol Sherman. Over the years, Donna could often be found running canteens at the ball park or cooking at the scout camp. She also catered many meals at the Sydenham Curling Club. Donna was diagnosed with ALS in January of 2019. She was lovingly cared for at home by her family with support from Community Nurse Diane McGuire and PSW’s Bonnie & Sydney. She declined rapidly, and transferred to CK Hospice for end of life care. Our family would like to thank all of the community staff and hospice staff & volunteers that cared for Donna. We would also like to thank Dr. Burgess, Dr. Mayo and Dr. Dudley for all that did for her, and James MacNeil from Life Transitions for her aftercare. As per Donna’s request, no visitation or service will be held. Donations can be made in memory of Donna to CK Hospice .
