Donald Fredrick Chesney, a life long resident of Dresden passed peacefully at 90 years of age while surrounded by his family on Tuesday September 3, 2019. Son of the late John and Madge Chesney. Father  of Andrea Ellison (Bruce), Shawn Chesney (Marcy), Michael Chesney (Komang). Grandfather of Erin, Shawn, Jaylene, Wolf and Uniqua, and Great-Grandfather of Jacob. Brother of Jackie Ward (late Sid). Predeased by sisiters Bessie ( Wilf), Lily (Ron), brothers Bill ( Lillian) and Wayne.Don will be deeply missed and forever remembered by his friend Lorna and many nieces, nephews and friends.He was a humble, caring man who thoroughly enjoyed hockey and horses. He worked as a groom at the local race track long into his 80’s. He loved to tease and joke. Even in his worst days there was always that twinkle in his eyes. Family and friends will be welcomed to share memories at the Dresden Legion, Saturday Sept. 7th at 2 p.m.
