Augustyn, Dirk “Big Dick”. Born on November 10, 1944 in Laagenmierde,  Holland, Dirk passed away unexpectedly on October 20, 2018. Predeceased by his parents Henk and Grace and by his great-nephew Justin. Dirk is survived  by his sisters Mary (Bert), Elizabeth and Marie. Loving  father of Kevin and Pamela, Randy and Sara. Super proud Opa of Braden, Madison, Bryce and Brianna. Dirk will be fondly remembered by a large  collection of nieces, nephews, great and great-great nieces and nephews,  golfing buddies and friends. The family would like to recognize Dirk’s close friend and neighbour Harry Hope for all the support he gave in the last few years. Dirk spent his career as a butcher and served MANY miles as a volunteer driver for Children’s Services and the Cancer Society. Consistent with  Dirk’s wishes, his “perfect specimen” of a body was to be donated to science followed by cremation. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
