Obituary for Daniel Raes
Daniel Ronald Raes passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2023 at the Chatham Kent Health Alliance at the age of 75.
Daniel was the son of the late Leon and Adronie Raes (nee Joseph). He is survived by his loving wife, Linda. Daniel was the proud father of Donald (Jennifer), Robert (Jessica) and Leon (Crystal). He will be missed by his grandchildren Danielle, Alicia, Derek, Sarah, Daymond, Rayden, Roen, Sawyer, and the late Lucas and by his seven great grandchildren.
Daniel was the brother of Germaine Schaap (Martin), the late Eli Denys, the late Ramona Reid and brother in law Ray Reid. Daniel was also survived by his niece Marlene Kuri (Frank) and their daughter Kate. Daniel will be missed by Linda's family, son in law to the late Rogier and Ghislaine Blondeel, brother in law to Jean Blondeel, Debra Blondeel, Michael Blondeel, Suzan Blondeel, Brenda Charles (Trevor), Jackie Campbell (Bill) and the late David Blondeel.
Dan could be found every morning at the office, better known as the Tim Horton's on Keil Drive.
He enjoyed driving truck and farming.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
