Christopher John Whitfield, 73, of Chatham, Ontario, passed away on September 26, 2019, with family by his side.  He was born on January 31, 1946 in Plymouth, England to the late Frederick (Tom) and Glenora (Joan) Whitfield.  He was the beloved husband of Jill. Dear brother of Robin (Sandra) and Maryrose. Caring father of Dawn (Brad) and Jeff. Precious step-dad of Cheryl (Dave), Brandi (Andrew) and Ted (Stephanie).  Proud and loving grandfather to Eisha, Jared, Nathan, Elias, Kamryn, Hailey and Jonas. The family would like to give special thanks to the nurses, caregivers and physicians at Riverview Gardens and Chatham-Kent Health Alliance for their compassionate care and support.   Memorial service to be held at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 9375 River Line, Chatham on Saturday October 19 at 2:00pm.
