Obituary for Christopher "Chops" Paterson

PATERSON, Christopher
1959 - 2023

Our good friend Chris passed on February 24th at age 64, with his close friend Miss Vicky by his side.

Born in Windsor, February 10, 1959 to Ray & Marguerite, he is survived by his brother Mark and sister MaryEllen.

A St Clair College alumni, Chris was a successful and trusted financial advisor. Starting at the National Bank and eventually retiring at Investors Group, he took pride in helping others, specifically with their long-term savings plans and annual tax returns.

Chris danced to the beat of his own drum. Regardless of social norms, he always chose his own path.

Anyone fortunate enough to meet Chris instantly liked him. His laugh was contagious and his spirit was true.

Chris made friends easily and kept them for life. His departure feels like a piece of life's puzzle is missing.

An avid/gifted athlete and sportsman, Chris excelled in Summer (Golf & Fishing), Winter (Skiing & Hockey) and Intellectual games (Chess & Cards). When picking teams for impromptu competitions Chris was always chosen early, as a highly rated teammate.

Chris loved Whistler, BC and his many trips over the years crafted his ski skills into an expert big mountain skier. He was well known/respected by all the locals in Whistler village, as a great guy on the mountain and even more fun to be around apres ski partying.

Rest in peace Chopper!
