Obituary for Catherine Lawson

Catherine (Cathi) Lawson, 74 years of age, passed away peacefully on Monday July 13 at CKHA with her family by her side. Born in Chatham, Cathi was the loving wife of Mike Lawson for 39 years. Proud mother of Stacy (Randy) Rybansky, Vance (Tami) Verleye and Jesse (Tonia) Verleye. Cherished grandmother of Zak and Cameryn Rybansky, Jessie (Jesse) Verleye and Gregery Verleye, Justis (Blake) Verleye, Jaidyn and Julian Verleye. Great-grandmother to beautiful Sigourney Bennet. Cathi was the loving big sister to Terry Sluiter (late Roy), Sheila (Mike) Hrabek, Curt (Linda) Mifflin, Kim (Debbie) Mifflin, Gina (Terry) Allard and Rowdy Mifflin. Loving cousin of Bill Freir. She is survived and loved by several nieces, nephews and special B.C.friends; Faye, Wendy, Linda and Eileen. Cathi is predeceased by her parents Betty Mifflin (1989) and Don Labadie (1993). Music and travel were a big part of Cathi’s life and she enjoyed doing both with friends or family as often as possible. She loved to knit and crochet and shared her works of art with family. A celebration of life for family and friends will be held at a later date.
