Bill (William) Warren of Chatham Ontario has passed away at the age of 81 in the comfort of his home with his loving wife by his side on January 30, 2022. Bill was a devoted and loyal husband, married to his BEST friend and life partner Dawn for 51 wonderful years. The BEST dad and uncle imaginable, Bill will be cherished forever by his son Chris Warren; daughter Brigitte Warren and nephew Matt Dacosta. Their spouses Laura Torrance, Adam Mullaly and Christine Dacosta loved Bill as their own father as well. Grandfather, Uncle, Great Uncle and BEST pal to Jacob, Jaxson, Viola, Oliver and many cherished nieces and nephews . Bill is predeceased by his parents Florence and Charles and brothers Howard and Edward. He is survived by his wife, children, sister Ruby (nee Al), brother Donald (nee Marlene) and brother & sister in law Janice and Annibal Dacosta. He had many wonderful buddies, Charlie, Mike, Glen, Tom and Buckie to name a few that have meant so much to Bill over the years. As a machinist, tool & dye maker and teacher, Bill loved a hard day’s work, a well-earned cold beer and a good night’s rest. Those who knew him endured endless bad jokes and daily laughs together. Bill loved fishing, listening to country music and was an avid Leafs and Nascar fan throughout his life. Picking worms after a good rain, feeding the birds, brewing his own beer and cooking a tasty meal, Bill loved his home and the peaceful calm of life in the country. The BEST husband, father and friend anyone could wish for, Bill will be missed, forever in our heart and never forgotten. As Bill would say “keep your stick on the ice”. There will be a private celebration of life in honour of Bill at a later date. In lieu of flowers and at the family’s request, donations in memory of Bill can be made to Chatham-Kent Hospice Foundation and are very much appreciated.
