On Thursday, May 5, 2022, William “Bill” Vincent Ryan, of Chatham, passed away after a brief illness at the age of 83.   Bill was born in Chatham on September 5,1938 to Vincent and Eileen (nee Kelly) Ryan. He is survived by his second wife of 39 years, Ruth Ann (nee Brown), sisters Judy (Bernie) Myers, Ann (Gary) Wright, and Margaret O’Phee,  son Vince Ryan, stepsons Jan (Barb) Kouyzer and Shane (Michelle) Kouyzer,  grandchildren Nicholas, Colin, and Hannah Kouyzer, Dustin, and Marie Ryan, and many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his first wife Mary (nee Vsetula), step son Gerard (1963), and sister Kathy and her husband Don Young.  Bill has been retired from Canteen of Canada for the last 35 years, during this time he and Ruth Ann were able to travel extensively. His desire to visit Ireland and search out some ancestry was a highlight for him. The purchase of a motorhome saw them drive to Lake Chapala and Mazatlan, Mexico on multiple occasions over the winter while spending several summers out at Wildwood by the Lake.  Cremation has taken place, and a small private ceremony is planned for a later date.  Memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s Society of Chatham Kent would be appreciated
